The 2024 model ushers in the next and third generation Traverse. The Traverse boasts a new style, more standard equipment, more options and, for the first time ever, a Z71 edition.

2024 Chevrolet Traverse - Performance

The V6 that had powered the Traverse during the previous generation has been retired. The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse near Akron is instead powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers better output while also being more fuel efficient: 315 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. Most trims include front-wheel drive standard and offer all-wheel drive as an option. The exception is the Z71, which includes a twin-clutch AWD system. All models have an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Chevrolet Traverse - Safety

Chevrolet has introduced a new 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen that is standard across the board. Standard driver assists include automatic headlamp and high-beam control, a rearview camera, forward collision warning with automatic braking and pedestrian and cyclist detection and lane departure warning with intervention. Adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition has been added to the standard equipment this gen, and the hands-free Super Cruise system is available as option beyond the base trim.
